About The Course

When you are on the programme you will:
  • Be placed with an employer for a minimum of 5 months
  • Be on placement for 5-12 hours a week with your personal Job Coach who will make sure you get the correct assistance and support in the workplace
  • Study Functional Skills English and Maths
  • Study Employability skills to develop your skills in team working, communication, job applications, how to manage your time and many more!
  • Receive personalised travel-training support according to your needs
  • Participate in tutorials and enrichment activities
  • We aim to give you the opportunity to gain the experience, skills and qualifications that are valued by employers

  • Health & Safety
  • Safeguarding, prevention and internet safety
  • Understanding personal finances and budgeting
  • Maths in the workplace
  • ICT in the workplace
  • Managing time
  • Customer service
  • Conflict at work

  • Job and training search skills
  • Job application skills
  • Job interview skills

What Will I Need?

You need to be between 16 and 25 years old and have an Educational & Health Care Plan (EHCP).

What Will It Cost?

School Leavers

If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be free. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. Adults

Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course may be free, depending on your circumstances. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. What Can I Do After?

At the end of the programme we help you in securing work, apprenticeships or further study.
